Founded in 2002, Nu Leaf Publishing is a small, independent publisher motivated by the need to communicate. Its founder, Judith Fringuello, believes that books are a powerful influence on society and is determined to uphold her belief by pubishing books that not only entertain, but inspire. Trying to tackle the insular world of publishing is a challenge for the hundreds of talented writers seeking to publish their own work. However, thanks to the use of new technologies it is becoming easier to get their message across. Since book stores play only a minor role compared to sales through nontraditional outlets, Nu Leaf is dedicated to finding and utilizing these sources. Nu Leaf Publishing's first book, Tim's Place by Judith Fringuello, is an autobiography that chronicles Fringuello's own son's struggle to live a normal life when stricken with kidney failure. It is an inspirational story of faith, hope and love. Fringuello, a commercial artist, also illustrated the book. In 2003, The Publishers Marketing Association awarded Fringuello the Benjamin Franklin Award for the book's layout and design. To learn more
